Rand Henke, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Rand has over 25 years of professional business experience in a broad array of early-to mid-stage development technology, service and manufacturing businesses. His experiences included several CEO and consultant roles involving general management, finance, technology licensing, marketing and sales, business development and R&D management. He has also co-founded and served on the boards of several economic development not-for-profit organizations focused on technology transfer and the formation of new technology-based businesses.

Christopher M. Strohsahl, Ph.D.
Chief Technical Officer (Founder)
Chris has spent the last four years developing the NanoLantern™ technology. He has authored four peer-reviewed publications on the topics of biosensing and DNA interactions and is a co-author on two pending patents. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Union College in Schenectady, NY and his Ph. D. in Biophysics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Terry Gronwall
Chief Operating Officer
Terry's management background encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including project and product line management, research and development, operations, marketing, purchasing, customer service and personnel management. His keen ability to identify and respond to market needs yielded dramatic increases in profitability and market share for his company. He led numerous initiatives in product development and service delivery and was accorded formal recognition for outstanding project management and superior customer service. He devised and implemented strategies for cost reduction and process improvement, and as General Manager he built a division which generated $250 million in revenue.

David Hessler
Chief Financial Officer
David has management experience in both large and small technology businesses, including as CEO and business owner. In addition, he has financing transactional experience as a principal of a small venture capital fund and as Managing Director of two middle market investment banking firms. From 1986 to 1996, David was Chairman, CEO and owner of Information Transfer Inc., a privately-held manufacturer of defense electronic equipment. Prior to investing in ITI, David was co-manager responsible for investing a small venture capital fund in six early stage entrepreneurial companies. In this capacity he performed due diligence evaluations and the pricing, structuring, and negotiation of the investment instruments. David evaluated over 100 prospective investment opportunities.
